Sorry for two entries in one day, but I started typing this little paragraph, and it ended up being a little longer, than I expected, so I figured it deserved its own entry. It barely belongs in the "OMG I'm back at school and here's what's up" entry anyway. Well, it kind of does, but not really. It's not even about me. Whatever.
There's this young little freshman kiddy sitting a few seats away from me. He's got is nice (slightly old) IBM laptop that he's probably borrowing from his parents for the year. He was the kind of kid that didn't have too many friends in high school. He wanted to get out and start over, so to speak. College would be different for him. And it will be. I can't tell just by looking at him if he lives here or not, but he looks kind of young. He might even be in post-secondary. His "backpack" consisted of the large leather-type briefcase thing that you buy to store a laptop. He pulled out his whole kit for the laptop too, complete with mouse AND mousepad. This kid follows all the rules. He's afraid to mess up. I bet his parents have high standards. And for the most part, he achieves them. He's two nice parents. Maybe even an only child. He's used to being alone. Uh oh, you'd better hurry up and get ready for class boy, you're going to be late. It's the first day, and class starts in 25 minutes. And you don't even know where Olin Hall is.
I like watching people.
